How We Build Trust Before We Build Your Space
For over 20 years, we've built custom homes, additions, and renovations for families across Birmingham and the surrounding Oakland County communities. Most of our work comes to us the same way: a past client tells a friend, or an architect we've partnered with for years points someone our way. That says more about how we build than any tagline could.
Here's what we've learned in that time. The projects that turn out great aren't the ones with the biggest budgets. They're the ones where everyone was honest from day one about what things cost, how long they take, and what's actually possible in the space you have.
So before you spend a dollar with an architect, we'll give you a straight read on your budget versus your wish list. Sometimes that's the fun part, showing you what's within reach. Sometimes it's a reality check. Either way, you'll know where you stand.
That's really what our process is built to do: keep you informed, keep the surprises out, and make sure the home you end up with is the one you pictured. We'd love to walk you through it.
Our Design-Build Process
Initial Communication
Your experience begins with a conversation. Our sales and estimating team will connect with you to understand your family’s needs, goals, and vision for your space.
During this stage, we review your architectural drawings (if available) and discuss the size and scope of your project. We’ll guide you with recommendations tailored to your home construction process.
Consultation
Next, we’ll meet with you in your home to dive deeper into your project. We’ll walk through your property, gather photos, take detailed measurements, and discuss design ideas.
If you need architectural support, we can connect you with some of the best partners in Oakland County. This step helps us lay the foundation for a successful design and build process.
Design & Planning
Our lead estimator will work closely with you to establish a clear budget. We ensure that funds are allocated effectively. In this step, we also begin submitting for permits and identifying items with long lead times to expedite your project's timeline.
Contract Approval
Once your scope of work and budget align, we finalize the contract. This ensures clarity and confidence before moving forward.
At this stage, we also set up your project in Co-Construct, our online project management tool, so you can track progress, communication, selections, and finances all in one place.
Construction
This is when you get to see all of your planning, organizing, and selecting come to life!
We handle permitting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and on-site work with meticulous attention to detail. Using Co-Construct, you’ll stay connected with real-time updates, so you always know where things stand.
This keeps your process organized, on budget, and on time.
Inspections
Throughout the construction process, we schedule inspections to ensure your remodel or custom build meets the highest quality and safety standards.
Project Completion
Once the final inspections are complete, we hand over a finished space that's beautiful, tailored to you, and built to last.
